 With two decades of experience in the telecommunications and networking industry, Mudassar Shahzad specialises in leading complex network transformations, architecting scalable infrastructure, and driving operational excellence across network operator and enterprise environments. He is currently serving as the Network Technical Leader at Enable Fibre Broadband in Christchurch, New Zealand, where he oversees the design, deployment, and optimization of next-generation fibre networks.

He is an active member of several leading industry organizations, including the New Zealand Network Operators Group, Canterbury Tech, and Comms Connect. Through these engagements, he regularly attends seminars and conferences to exchange ideas, stay updated on emerging technologies, and contribute to the advancement of the telecommunications and ICT industry.

Outside of work, he finds balance and inspiration in the great outdoors. Hiking and camping are more than just hobbies—they are a way for him to disconnect from the digital world and reconnect with nature. Whether trekking through the rugged trails of the Southern Alps or camping under the stars in one of New Zealand’s national parks, he enjoys the challenge, serenity, and sense of adventure these experiences bring. They not only help him recharge but also foster resilience, mindfulness, and an appreciation for the natural beauty that surrounds us.
